Villardeciervos and Ricobayo without beach

Villardeciervos and Ricobayo without beach

The Villardeciervos Town Council has announced that this summer it will not be able to open its river beach as it does not have the means or personnel for the control, maintenance and care of the bathing area in accordance with antiCOVID-19 security measures. In this situation, the Provincial Council has been directly questioned about whether it will offer the same support to this municipality as it does to Galende, which they have promised to support with cleaning staff and an exclusive budget line. The answer? “No”.

Short, forceful and direct answer: No. This is how the Head of Tourism of the Deputation, Jesús María Prada, expressed himself about the possibility that the Zamora Deputation offered specific support to Villardeciervos for the opening of its beach. “You have to be realistic, Lake Sanabria is a natural park with a very large influx of tourism. This is not the case in other areas such as Villardeciervos, Burganes or Muelas, where assistance is mainly local, ”explained Prada.

“We are going to lend a hand to Galende because its beach is a very important tourist focus in the province. I do not think that the people of Madrid or the Basque Country come to Zamora to bathe in the Ricobayo reservoir, “said the Tourism deputy.
